MEET THE BENJAMIN HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS
KEN BRUNDAGE (Jack) is thrilled to return to the stage after his noteworthy performance as Other Cowboy / Other Farmer in GREEN GROW THE LILACS and would like to thank his mom, dad, stepmon, three stepdads and many uncles for all their love and support. Ken was named Hall Monitor of the Month a record four times this past year and will be attending Baptist Seminary after graduation.
JASSE CAMACHO VERA (Ensemble) was never in GREEN GROW THE LILACS. Actually, he was never cast in REEFER MADNESS. Rumor has it that he lives on the stage and only rolls out for the songs he likes. Jasse played Pablo in SISTER ACT at the Erie Playhouse because he was the only one that could speak Spanish. He will be playing Jacques in Gannon’s AS YOU LIKE IT, a role he actually auditioned for… we think.
ADELE CROTTY (Mary Lane) was last seen as Ado Annie in GREEN GROW THE LILACS (BHHS), Clarissa in SPIDER’S WEB (All An Act) and as Poppy in NOISES OFF! (Erie Playhouse). Adele is like, super totally psyched to be performing in REEFER MADNESS with all her besties from GGTL and can’t wait for the summer production of DEATH OF A SALESMAN: THE MUSICAL – ON ICE!, in which she will portray a female Willy (Wilhemina) Loman.
CHASE MILES (Ensemble) was most recently seen in the Benjamin Harrison H.S. production of GREEN GROW THE LILACS as Stupid Sexy Tree #2. He is super excited about being in such a civic-minded show with his pals. His dream is to rid the world of cholera. He will appear in the summer hit sensation SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH KING LEAR.
EMILY OLSZEWSKI (Mae) was most recently seen as Cow #1 in GREEN GROW THE LILACS. She graduated in 2016 from Catawba College with a BFA in theatre arts performance. She recently directed the staged reading of Neil Simon’s LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR.
BRITTNEY SHAW (Ensemble) was last seen as Tree #2 in GREEN GROW THE LILACS and as Rachel in DARK PLAY OR STORIES FOR BOYS. She is so grateful for the opportunity to educate the masses on the dangers of the reefer.
JENNA SULECKI (Sally) recently appeared as Will Parker in Benjamin Harrison’s production of GREEN GROW THE LILACS. While she is thrilled to play Sally, she’s disappointed she didn’t get the role of Jimmy so she could play opposite Adele again. Recently, she directed the Irish primier of the 2012 revival of GODSPELL in Limerick, Ireland. You may have seen her as Molly Aster in PETER AND THE STARCATCHER at the Erie Playhouse. Be sure to look out for her self-directed one-woman musical adaptation, CAT, coming to a stage near you!
B.J. WAIDE (Ensemble / Stage Manager) was last seen as Townsfolk #4 in GREEN GROW THE LILACS and Marge in HAND TO GOD. She is very happy to be working with this amazing group of people again and learning so much about the reefer.
JASON WISNIEWSKI (Lecturer) is thrilled to be a part of such a ridiculously fun show. In addition to directing the award-winning GREEN GROW THE LILACS, he has appeared in many productions over the past 20+ years. Most recently, he appeared as Greg in A CHORUS LINE. Other favorite shows include SIDE SHOW (Terry), YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN (Snoopy), WEST SIDE STORY (Action) and TWILIGHT OF THE GOLDS (David). Thank you to everyone for their patience, support and encouragement.
